WORKSHOPS

WORKSHOP 1: CONFIDENT COMMUNICATION - THE POWER SKILL YOU NEED TO KNOW

Sharon Delaney McCloud, CDE | Director of Corporate Communications, UNC Health

Persuasive, sharp communication now tops the required skill set to succeed in today's competitive workplace. Learn how to amplify your impact with proven techniques that global leaders use to attract and retain customers, teammates and investors.

WORKSHOP 2: HOW TO ASK FOR HELP

Led by Kristine Sloan | Executive Director, Leadership Triangle

If the idea of making an ask at a networking event turns your stomach, this might be a good workshop for you. During our time together, we’ll learn a storytelling framework centered around purpose and then you’ll practice making asks of other people in the room. Be ready to surprise yourself.

WORKSHOP 3: INNOVATION – BEYOND THE BUZZWORD

Led by Sarah Glova PhD | CEO, Reify Media

A blueprint for daily innovation—ways to be innovative every day, strategies for cultivating an innovative mindset that’s as unique as you are, and ideas for how you can help sustain a culture of innovation in your work.

WORKSHOP 3: FIGHTING FAKEQUITY: THE LEADERSHIP CHALLENGE OF OUR ERA

Led by Fay Horwitt | CEO + President, Forward Cities

These past few years have represented the most tumultuous times in modern history. The divides of our nation are widening and the rights of many are being clawed back with ripple effects across society and culture. There is no shortage of corporate statements of support; but how do we move beyond potentially hollow promises? In this session, we will explore how to recognize the signs of ‘fake’ equity and combat it with authentic systems change.
